Full Circle Impact

The Carolina Girls Hoops Barefoot Tournament, a basketball tournament held on January 20th in Florence, SC, was a remarkable success, raising enough funds to distribute 300 pairs of shoes at North Vista Elementary on May 16th. This event demonstrated the powerful impact of community collaboration. We worked closely with Florence's Mayor Ervin and secured additional funding from Duke Energy, highlighting the event's community-wide support. Participants from the Carolina Girls Hoops Barefoot Tournament were also able to volunteer and serve at the shoe distribution, seeing the impact of their efforts just a few months before.

The success of this initiative underscores why we organize Barefoot Events: to make a meaningful difference in our community. A special acknowledgment goes to Peter London, whose exceptional planning ensured the event's success. Check out these photos from our event together in Florence!
