Serving Seniors in Arkansas

Samaritan’s Feet partnered with St. Mark Baptist Church in Little Rock, AR along with CareLink (Central Arkansas Area Agency on Aging) to serve senior citizens in the Little Rock area. Check out a few of the highlights from the team’s time together:

  • St. Mark Baptist Church stepped up as always to support Samaritan’s Feet by providing a crew of over a dozen volunteers to unload, sort, pack materials in Hope Totes as well as build friendships with their senior communities throughout the Little Rock Metro Area.

  • This alliance made it possible to serve over 200 seniors on Friday, March 5th at their homes with a brand new pair of comfortable athletic shoes and new socks, as well as a Hope Tote with a message of encouragement and love. Additionally, over the course of the coming weeks our team will be a part of serving an additional 297 CareLink clients.

  • Ms. Wanda Magee, St. Mark’s Baptist Church member and Samaritan’s Feet mission team member, prepared an incredible six course southern meal for all the St. Mark volunteers. Some volunteers noted that they had the best greens they’ve have ever had!

  • What a great group of like-minded servants who work hard to make the lives of their neighbors better ever day. They shared love, hope, joy, and encouragement to folks who have really struggled during the pandemic with loneliness and isolation as a part of protecting our vulnerable senior family and friends.

We cannot wait to see what else this alliance of incredible community servants can accomplish together in the coming years!
