Empowering Dreams in Missouri
At a special “Day of Dreams” shoe distribution at an elementary school in Grandview, Missouri, students had the opportunity to write their dreams down on large banners, and to also be encouraged and mentored on them.
Many of the children wrote that they wanted to be a “police officer.” There happened to be a resource officer at the school there who was able to encourage many of the children. Several children also wrote “doctor” and “teacher” and they had adults there ready to talk to them about their future career aspirations and how they could achieve them.
Now, these inspiring banners adorn the school's hallways, serving as constant reminders to teachers, staff, and students alike of the ambitious goals and dreams that shape the future of this vibrant community.
