Installing a Shoe Locker

With a group of Charlotte-based partners, including Charlotte Turkey Trot, Samaritan’s Feet had a fun Shoe Locker installation at an elementary school. Six students received the first set of shoes and around 200 were given to the school so that they are readily available as the needs of students arise. Check out what the school social worker had to say about the installing the Shoe Locker that day:

“We are so grateful for this partnership and community. [This Shoe Locker provides an] opportunity to maybe take something off of a parent’s plate, allowing them to put money towards bills or something else. Day in and day out we see kids come by and something has happened, like the shoe has fallen apart or they need a replacement. So this will provide peace-of-mind for parents, just to have those things on campus so they don’t have to leave and come here for their child. It’s just readily available.”
