Share about your role at Samaritan’s Feet.

As a Regional Program Manager my role at Samaritan’s Feet International is to create opportunities to serve at domestic shoe distributions. I work to make connections and lasting friendships. I also love to raise awareness for Samaritan’s Feet International by sharing our story and promoting our mission.

What do you love most about being on the Samaritan’s Feet team?

I have two things that I love about Samaritan’s Feet International, I love that my family can serve with me and that I work with some of the most amazing people in the world.

Share about one of your favorite moments serving with Samaritan’s Feet.

In July of 2017, I was asked to volunteer with my church at a Samaritan’s Feet event in our town. I was new in town and when I arrived, I listened to the opening and noticed all the smiles were so warm. I took my place next to our Pastor at the foot washing station. Let me tell you, I was so nervous…I didn’t know what to think or even say, however I knew Jesus had this. The first young man sat dow and we talked. When I began to pray, I felt Jesus and knew He was using me in a mighty way. The second boy sits down, and we talk and pray as well. Then a third boys sits down and he looks identical to the second. I said, “I just washed your feet.” He said, “no I am a twin,” with this mischievous smile.

At this event, my two sons were serving with me. One was a greeter/activity helper and the other was helping with shoes. I loved that my kids were serving with me; this was the opportunity that my little family could be a part of a servant leadership project. We walked away that day full of stories and blessed beyond measure.

I kept seeing those three faces again, the brothers, and got to know them. I continued to serve as a volunteer with my church at these events as much as I could. In 2019, I began to learn how to set up the Samaritan’s Feet events and I became one of the Project Managers for our hometown’s event. During this time, we were moving my mom and guess who shows up to help? Those three brothers and their dad! From that moment on, we have been a family. They are now my sons because their dad and I married in the autumn of 2019. We serve every year at our hometown event as a family our older boys come back to serve, too.

What do you love most about serving with Samaritan’s Feet?

I believe some of my favorite moments with Samaritans Feet International are serving with so many wonderful people that want to share HOPE and CHANGE LIVES. These people understand that it takes just one moment to change someone’s life. I feel blessed that this is what I get to do. I get to share HOPE, LOVE, and SERVE JESUS.
